For thousands of years, aromatherapy has been an important part of overall health. Ancient civilizations used aromatherapy and essential oils to promote both psychological and physical well-being.

Today, topical application of essential oils or diffusing scents in an aromatherapy device is a daily ritual for many people who seek peace, stress relief, and improved health.

What are Aromatherapy Inhalers?

Aromatherapy inhalers are showing great promise in delivering health-benefitting scents, and in fact may be even more effective than aromatherapy diffusers. These small inhaler devices are no larger than a tube of lipstick and are filled with the oil blend of the user’s choice.

Bare Oils singles or blends are a great choice for an aromatherapy inhaler, which can be used anywhere on the go. An aromatherapy inhaler has a small outer tube containing a cotton wick that holds the desired essential oil until it is ready to use. A tight-fitting cap prevents evaporation.

This does have health-promoting effects, but the diluted nature of the diffusion may not produce effects as strongly or as quickly as an inhaler applied directly to the nose will.

Further research is needed, but aromatherapy inhalers are already demonstrating their effectiveness of these small, convenient, and portable devices.
